Hi, My name is Laura and I'm 15. I currently attend Millennium High School as a sophomore. In school, I excel in Chemistry and Biology as well as Math and Writing. I also participate in-school programs such as Wingspan Arts and the Student Leadership Team. My interest in web design started in 8th grade with a web blog community known as Xanga. I started out with trying to design art work suitable with layouts, then from 9th grade on, I started actually coding layouts in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and Javascript which I did during my spare time. Other than web design, I love photography, dance, and ice skating. What I would like to do in the future is to learn to ice skate professionally and learn other types of programming languages like C++, PHP, and XHTML.

[MY SPOT]
If I can pick any spot in New York City, I would pick this place to be my designated spot. I love this place. It's so serene and calm. Sometimes I go to think and take pictures like this one. My friends say I have great photography skills but, I just started taking pictures last year in the springtime. This picture was taken when it was in the winter, but think about it when it's in the spring! Flowers would be blooming, the water would be flowing, birds flying, even the sunset would look like a beautiful painting.

Despite the fact that I don't have Photoshop or PSP anymore really makes it harder, I love to design stuff and make art work. Like this banner I made for my friend, I love to work with pastel colors, filters, and effects. That doesn't stop me from designing layouts for xanga though. I just have to credit the people who actually made the graphics.
